Vietnam among the worlds five largest apple importers
Vietnam became one of the world's largest apple importer in 2020 with the volume of apple imports reached to hundred thousand tons.

Sources from the world apple industries, Vietnam surpassed Bangladesh and India to rank fifth in the world in terms of apple imports.
Only Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Egypt are now ahead of Vietnam in terms of apple imports (by volume)
However, due to high level of apple prices, Vietnam is now the third largest apple market in the world in terms of revenues, ahead of Egypt and the UK, and second only to Germany and Russia.
In 2020, apple exporters earned almost half a billion US dollars by supplying apples to Vietnam. At the same time, the volume of Vietnamese apple imports amounted to about 265,000 tons. Over five years, the volume of apple imports to Vietnam has grown more than seven times.
