Tan Yen expands GlobalGAP lychee growing area
This year, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) has expanded 10 ha more of lychee with growing area code which meet Global GAP standard and quality to export to Japan, mostly in Phuc Le village, Phuc Hoa commune.
The GlobalGAP lychee growing area in Lan Thinh and Quat Du 2 villages in Phuc Hoa commune.
To gain high effectiveness, the communal People’s Committee has well coordinated with the district Division of Agriculture and Rural Department to instruct the farmers to care for the crops, use plant protection product correctly as the procedure so as to satisfy the strict condition of Japanese market.
Besides, the district People’s Committee enhances to support trade promotion, print label, stamp, package and origin traceability as well as prepare various programmes to export the fruit to Japan smoothly.
Thus, this year the district has 15 ha of GlobalGAP lychee. In last year season, the district succeeded to develop 5ha of GlobalGAP lychee in Lan Thinh and Quat Du 2 village in Phuc Hoa commune.
GlobalGAP is an international standard about good agriculture practices to help small agriculture enterprises and cooperative to enter global markets. It includes principles during production procedure such as food, varieties, medicine and growing activities until the product is made and sold to the market.
