Prices of pork, eggs, chicken increase

According to the Department of Husbandry, prices of pork, eggs and chicken nationwide inched up.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development yesterday announced the consumption of agricultural produces in May adopting measures to push up consumption in June and remaining months of the year.  

For instance, pork fetched VND25,000 and the price is on upward trend while chicken raised in factory farms in Ho Chi Minh City is sold at VND26,000 a kilogram. Barnyard chicken is sold VND58,000 - VND62,000 per kilogram in the northern province of Bac Giang.

Chicken raised in factory farms is sold at VND30,000 and barnyard chicken is sold over VND90,000 in Hanoi.
