Luc Ngan daily exports about 150 tonnes of lychee to Cambodia

According to the Division of Economy and Infrastructure in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province), the district has recently set up 140 fixed weighting points which help sell more than 2,100 tonnes of lychee per day, mostly in the communes of Phuong Son, Hong Giang, Giap Son, Phi Dien, My An, Tan Moc, Tan Quang and Dong Coc.

In accumulation, about 15,000 tonnes of lychee have been sold at the price of 12,000 – 32,000 VND (0.52 – 1.39 USD) per kg.

Early ripening lychees are packed at the facility of Bui Anh Quan in Giap Son commune to export to Cambodia.

There are 10 facilities to purchase and pack lychee to export to Cambodian market, typically household of Bui Anh Quan in Giap Son commune and Nguyen Thi Nhan in Hong Giang commune. Daily, more than 10 container trucks come to the localities to carry lychee to this market with estimated quantity of nearly 150 tonnes.

The lychee box is labelled before being exported to Cambodian market.

It is the first year Luc Ngan has exported early ripening lychee to Cambodia with such huge quantity in early season.

The brand of Bac Giang lychee is protected in many countries such as China, Laos, Cambodia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Australia, Japan and consumed worldwide.
