Bac Giang lychee offered to USA and Netherlands

Two tonnes of lychees in Hong Giang commune was bought on June 12 by Ben Tre province – based Chanh Thu Fruit Export Company Limited (company) as the offer orders to the markets of USA and Netherlands, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of Luc Ngan district People’s Committee in Bac Giang province informed. 

The lychees are processed and packed ready to be offered to the USA.

Accordingly, the company directly visited the orchard and purchased the fruits, whose stems were cut off, at 40,000 VND (1.75 USD) per kilogram. All the lychees were cultivated under VietGAP and GlobalGAP procedures with superior quality and value. 

To date, this is the first batch of the fruits to be offered to the hard and high – class markets, helping open a chance to develop the lychee consumption markets in the upcoming time.

Bac Giang province estimates to harvest 150 – 180,000 tonnes of litchi this year, 60 percent of which are cultivated under VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, featuring a higher rate against the previous figures. The main harvest period will last until the end of July.
