1,500 tonnes of dragon fruit shipped to China

LÀO CAI — Up to 1,560 tonnes of dragon fruit got customs clearance for export to China via the Lào Cai international border gate on February 17-18 - the first two days of Lunar New Year.
Nguyễn Quyết Chiến, head of the Lào Cai international border gate customs office, said Ánh Lộc, Bảo An and Tân HưngThịnh companies loaded the fruits in 32 vans heading to China.
The fruits were sourced from orchards in the south-central province of Bình Thuận and the Mekong Delta provinces of Sóc Trăng and Vĩnh Long.
Last year too, hundreds of thousands of dragon fruit were shipped to China via Lào Cai international border gate.
