Yen The prioritizes commodity chicken breeding model
Targeting at the improved quality and trademark of Yen The hill chicken, the Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has approved for the project of “Researching and piloting the breeding model of hybrid bantam and VP34 commodity chickens in Yen The district”.

The project was valued at nearly 2.3 billion VND (101,000 USD), including some 1.5 billion VND (65,900 USD) supported from the provincial budget for science and technology and the remaining amount mobilized from the residents.
The goal was set to raise 20 thousand - head flock of hybrid bantam and VP34 commodity chickens, at least achieving the living rate of 94 percents and weighting of 2 kilograms per head after 4 months while completing the technical chicken raising procedure that suits the local conditions.
The project piloted 8,000 hybrid bantam commodity chickens and 12,000 heads of VP34 variety with the minimum scale of 500 heads per household for each period in the 14 families under the Yen The Green Cooperative and Dong Tam Cooperative. Besides, 10 grassroots officials have been trained for the disease-free chicken breeding technique.
