Over 15,000 tonnes of citrus fruits for Tet market
According to the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province, it is the peak harvest season of the sweet orange and pomelo serving to the Tet market.
The household in Tan Moc commune (Luc Ngan district) packs the sweet orange for customers.
Some 15,000 tonnes of fruits have been supplied to the customers, increasing about 5 tonnes against the figure last year with the higher selling price.
Particularly, the sweet orange is sold at 25,000 – 40,000 VND (1.08 – 1.72 USD) per kilogram, sweet pomelo is sold at 15,000 – 30,000 VND (0.65 – 1.29 USD) per kilogram, up 5 – 7,000 VND comparing to the same period last year.
The fruits are mostly purchased by the tradesmen and salespersons directly at the orchard. The citrus fruits of Luc Ngan district have been consumed easily with higher price thanks to their prominent quality and good trade promotion.
