The fluctuations in the livestock industry over the past time are becoming a driving force for farmers to seek new sustainable and highly effective solutions actively.

Pork prices constantly go up and down, so farmers are afraid to re-herd.

Looking for new solutions for long-term benefits

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that Vietnam's pork production in 2021 will increase by nearly 5% compared to 2020, to 2.59 million tons. Pork consumption increased by 3.6%, to more than 2.78 million tons.

This year, Vietnam's pork industry will have many improvements, providing development opportunities for both large-scale livestock farmers and households after a period of many fluctuations.

However, when faced with the opportunity to recover, breeders are hesitant to re-herd or expand the production scale. Specifically, there are worries about the disease and the output in the context of pork prices continuously going up and down in recent times.

Breeders are seeking new sustainable and highly effective solutions to ensure long-term productivity and profitability.

The efficient and sustainable livestock model standardizes inputs such as breeders, feed, and pork house design and ensures production and strict compliance with biological safety measures, veterinary medicine, disease prevention, and ensuring breeders' output.

Regardings breed development, GREENFEED cooperates with PIC - a leading company in genetics in the US, to research a breed of pork with high adaptability to conditions in Vietnam, with a potential reaching from 31–32 heads/sow/year.

Currently, GREENFEED owns a large-scale pork farm system with the ability to supply the market with more than 75,000 breeds and 400,000 doses of pork semen per year.

In addition, the completion of the closed food chain Feed - Farm - Food also helps GREENFEED solve output for customers, assisting breeders to ensure long-term economic benefits.

As one of the food brands under GREENFEED, MAMACHOICE brings clean meat to consumers and aims to provide output solutions for breeders in Vietnam.

GREENFEED also actively develops the supply chain, promotes product purchasing connections to ensure economic benefits for livestock owners, and creates a smooth supply-demand connection chain.
