In the past week, our team received several questions about how to control weeds in your lawns and gardens. We think it is a question worth a million dollars, for which there is a magic trick to be resolved. But because it takes a little patience and dedication and certainly the results will be satisfied.

You must have in mind that prevention is the best way to reduce weeds from spreading throughout the next year. To deal with weeds there are several eco-friendly options.

Manual removal

First try by pulling the weeds, but directly with removing its root. Because if you removed only the stem, it can grow again and again to be an additional burden. This method is inexpensive but requires more labor to be fully applied.

Mulch of straw or leaves

The cover layer can be quite effective in preventing most of the weed germination. But be careful if you buy straw or leaves for this purpose. This organic layer should not contain arsenic and make sure that the label you checked is an absence of arsenic.

Sprays

These sprays came into contact with the plant and burn his cell. This so-called contact herbicide is most effective on young annual weeds. They are quite useful, but in practice are not 100% effective, since there is the root to generate new growth.

Hot water also works well at killing weeds. When using this method, be careful not to spray the other plants.

Vinegar or acetic acid is not very effective for mature weeds. For weed recommend strict minimum concentration of more than 7% and the need to touch the roots. Exercise caution when using this acid, it can be dangerous to the skin and eyes. Other herbicides in liquid form may be oil or citric acid.

Granules corn

Gluten from corn is a product that is used as an organic product in control in lawns. For the results to be excellent, it takes several seasons of treatment. It contains 10% nitrogen and this treatment is becoming more useful and popular.
