Everyone wants to enjoy the beautifully decorated balconies full of flowers in various colors. But the flowers that are constantly exposed to outside attacks various diseases and pests.

Some plants have more immunity to certain diseases than other plants. For e.g. “Pelargoium peltatum Hybrid”, attacks almost all types of diseases. Usually can be attacked by a small spider, which causes the cobwebs of the handles from the leaves and young shoots and appears yellow spots on the upper side of the leaves.

The reason is the dry and hot air, which does not circulate (if the plant is placed in a closed angle). If we want to deal with this pest should be sprayed with an appropriate insecticide.

From other diseases should be mentioned the bacterial diseases. Often it occurs “Geraium wilt”, or etc. wilting. Since this disease results in wilting and death of older leaves. Handles the leaves rot and the leaves appear brown spots. As the main cause of this disease is a bacterium “Xathomonas”. If the plant is suffering from this disease, it should immediately destroy and remove from other plants, because this bacterium can’t be treated.

Other pests are fungal diseases that are mostly in the form of gray mold or “Botrytis”. The leaves, stalks or flowers produced brownish-gray mass. The reason is over-fertilization with nitrogen fertilizer and disease like wet and cold weather, and close placement of plants. Gabicce disease is treated with a suitable fungicide.
