Improving added values

In a bid to enhance added values in agriculture, the province has taken solutions, including propagandizing; mobilizing locals to make the shift of plant and animal structure, apply sci-tech advancements into production; creating favorable conditions for them to approach loans for production…The province has also focused on strongly making the shift of plant structure, applying sci-tech advancements into production towards quality and efficiency.

The province has so far developed 4 hi-tech agricultural parks, namely Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park in North Tan Uyen district, Tan Hiep and Phuoc Sang communes-based hi-tech agricultural park in Phu Giao district. Vinh Tan commune-based hi-tech park in Tan Uyen town and An Thai hi-tech agricultural park in Phu Giao district. Noticeably, An Thai hi-tech agricultural park is invested by U&I Investment Joint Stock Company with a total area of more than 410 hectares. In terms of organic agriculture, Vinamit Joint Stock Company has a total of 150 hectares for growing jackfruits, bananas, vegetables…under the Organic USDA and Organic EU standards.

In addition, the province is now home to 3 large-scale hi-tech agricultural projects, including Vinh Tan commune-based hi-tech poultry breeding park in Tan Uyen town invested by Ba Huan Co.Ltd. with 17.6 hectares in total with the average productivity of 500,000 eggs per day; Tien Hung hi-tech agricultural park of 78.5 hectares in North Tan Uyen district’s Hieu Liem commune with 395,000 chickens and the annual productivity of 80 million eggs; Tan Hiep and Phuoc Sang communes-based hi-tech milk cow breeding park invested by Binh Duong Agricultural Development Joint Stock Company of more than 470 hectares with 850 milk cows with the monthly amount of around 199,771 kg milk…

Sustainable development

Pham Van Bong, Director of provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the sector will continue directing restructuring towards urban, hi-tech agricultural models with large-scale production in association with the local advantages and the market in the coming time. The sector will also organize training courses on urban and hi-tech agricultural development policies; build up trademarks for agricultural products; boost research and application of achievements from the 4th industrial revolution into production; strengthen activities on trade promotion, market prediction, “four-side linkage” for better consumption…

Besides, province-based hi-tech agricultural facilities need to gradually change to processing in order to enhance the values of agricultural products; attach special importance to the domestic market by decreasing cost prices for better consumption. In order to enhance the quality of human resources in agricultural production, the province will strengthen training courses for farmers, helping them improve their production skills, capacity to get and apply sci-tech advancement into production…
