Bac Giang implements disease-free breeding project

The Division of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary in the northern province of Bac Giang has been provided with 1 billion VND (43,920 USD) by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement 2018 project of building the disease-free breeding models.

It aims at establishing a safe breeding area without disease, building the animal husbandry farms under VietGAHP while producing standard breeding products towards export markets.

The project selects 50 poultry breeding farms with the scale of 1,000 chickens per brood and 50 pig husbandry models raising 200 heads per batch to realize the disease-free facilities, prioritizing the large-scale breed production model, meat chicken and pig farming model under VietGAHP or chain of production and breeding cooperative.

The project participants will be provided with training course of technology delivery and promotion of disease-free breeding model; sample testing for several poultry and animal diseases; trading promotion and sale expansion for qualified products of animal husbandry as well as the stamp for origin traceability.
