Bac Giang expands 100 hectares of safe Bat Tien tea growing area
Some 100 hectares of Bat Tien tea will be cultivated under the safe procedure in the Thanh Son town and the neighboring communes from now on to 2020, the local authority in Son Dong district Bac Giang province informed.

Currently, the district localities are making such conditions as the soil, seedlings, fertilizers among others ready to develop 15 hectares this year. The project participants will be provided with free fertilizers and 80 percent of the variety’s cost by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Area expansion and safe cultivation method contribute to building the trademark of Son Dong Bat Tien tea, gradually making it one of the district staples to improve the farmers’ income.
Son Dong is now home to 29.4 hectares of Bat Tien tea, mostly growing in Thanh Son town (12.5 hectares) and other communes.
