Bac Giang builds 26 hi-tech agriculture models

Implementing the Resolution of the provincial Party’s Standing Committee on boosting high technology application in local agriculture production in the period of 2016 – 2020, Bac Giang province targeted at 26 hi-tech agriculture models this year.

There included 5 models in Tan Yen district; 4 models in Lang Giang district and the others in the districts of Luc Nam, Yen The, Viet Yen, Hiep Hoa, Yen Dung and Bac Giang city, mostly cultivating vegetables, flowers and cucumbers with the scales of 2,000 – 5,000 square meters.

Some 300 – 400 million VND (13,200 – 17,600 USD) will be supported by the provincial budget for each model (adding to the district expense) as the schedule. 

The province established 21 hi-tech agriculture models in 2017, bringing an average income of 200 million VND (8,800 USD) per model on a yearly basis. The profit was 4-5 times higher than that of traditional cultivation method while the weather impact was considerably minimized.
