VN green tea producers head to US

A delegation of Vietnamese green tea producers will travel to the US and Canada next month.

The trip, organised by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), aims to help Vietnamese tea producers enter the specialty premium green tea market segment in North America.

The tea producers will learn about the large, fast-growing North American tea market, in order to develop suitable products and marketinng strategies. Lessons about market research, product development, product branding and market testing will also be offered to domestic firms.

Viet Nam is the world’s seventh largest producer of tea and the ninth biggest exporter. The country is home to over 350,000 tea growers, contributing signficiantly to rural development and povety alleviation.
