An agriculture fair featuring produce farmed in compliance with VietGap and GlobalGap standards sponsored by the Department of Agriculture opened today (June 22) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Today, our efforts down through the years have brought us much pride and satisfaction, said Tran Tan Quy, assistant director of the Department, in a speech at the opening.

Over the years the produce on exhibit has expanded to include a wide variety of teas, herbs, spices, cashews, fruits, coconuts along with a large assortment of fruit and vegetables offering some of the best produce worldwide.

It’s great that local farmers are finally waking up to the need to practice sustainable agricultural principles to serve the health, environment and socially conscious with high quality produce grown ethically.

It has given the agriculture segment the opportunity to uplift the farming community by being able to ensure them a higher living standard while also building up the health of communities nationwide.
