This method works especially well in farms where pens are wide or have unusual dimensions.

It is very convenient to crowd together weaners or growers in one part of the pen during vaccination. Instead of sorting panel we can achieve this by using dark, plastic foil or tarpaulin.

It has several advantages.

Because plastic foil rustles, animals are afraid of the noise and won’t push against this kind of barrier. It allows you to keep them in one place. Moreover, foil is very light and easy to fold and move to another pen.

It is easy to disinfect if you need to use it multiple times. However, the cost of foil is relatively low, so in order to prevent pathogen transmission, you can use it only once.

The height of the foil should be 1 meter or more. In that way pigs cannot see what is behind the foil. Width is determined by the pen size.

This method works especially well in farms where pens are wide or have unusual dimensions.
