Producing organic and safe agricultural products with hi-technological application is an inevitable trend in the context of international integration. It’s also an effective measure to implement agricultural restructuring. The central province of Quang Ngai has introduced several preferential policies to attract investments in the area, opening up a new way for sustainable agriculture development in the locality.

This chicken farm is operated under a strict bio-safety process. The 565,000 USD farm is located in Tu Nghia district, Quang Ngai province, covering an area of  5 hectares. The farm has a capacity of rearing 60,000 chickens. It supplies 54,000 eggs everyday to the market.

Tran Dinh Qui, Director of Ha Tan One Member Limited Company told reporters: "The chickens are bred under a strict bio-safety process, with breeds and feed being selected carefully. During the breeding process, our workers and technicians are trained in poultry rearing and epidemic, prevention, among others."

In the field cultivation  area, local enterprises have operated several plant tissue culture labs to serve the  multiplication of hi-quality crops, meeting the demand of afforestation in the province.

Tran Van Man, Chairman of People’s Committee of Mo Duc district, Quang Ngai province said: "Firstly we need to mark out  suitable production areas, then we will prepare land, and necessary conditions before calling for investment. Besides we also have policies to support investors."

By learning from experiences from hi-tech and organic agricultural models both at home and aboard, Quang Ngai attracted 20 hi-tech agricultural projects with a total capital of 48.4 million USD last year.

According to Nguyen Tang Binh, Deputy Standing Chairman of Quang Ngai province People’s Committee, to develop safe and organic agriculture, the province has requested all relevant bodies to create favourable conditions for investors in agriculture, especially in site clearance and investment procedures.

Attracting hi-tech and safe agricultural projects has opened a new direction for Quang Ngai’s agricultural sector, helping it develop safe and organic agricultural production, heading towards sustainable development
