Phu Giaos economy continues taking fruits

Thanks to the efforts by the local administration, Phu Giao district’s economy in the first months of 2019 still reached good results, despite bad weather and African hog cholera outbreak in some breeding households…

Efforts to surmount difficulties

In the first five months of 2019, Phu Giao district had 210 hectares of manioc trees with sri lanka cassava mosaic virus destroyed, and 26 pig-breeding facilities hit by African hog cholera with 3.541 pigs destroyed. There were also 83 households in An Binh, An Linh, An Thai and Tan Hiep communes affected by torrential rain with total losses of more than VND5billion.

Doan Van Dong, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee said that in the face of obstacles from objective impacts, leaders of the district’s People’s Committee have made efforts in directing the implementation of the set tasks in 2019. Particularly, the district’s People’s Committee has instructed functional agencies, localities to tighten control over the situation of epidemic diseases in animals and plants; well realize propaganda work, mobilize people to raise their awareness in preventing epidemic diseases, making the shift of appropriate plant and animal structure…

Additionally, the district’s People’s Committee has promoted industrial-home industrial manufacture, trade-services, thereby contributing to the local agricultural sector. Upon this, the district’s economic targets in the first five months of the year obtained good results.

Continuing well realizing solutions

In the first five months of 2019, the district’s industrial-home industrial production value was more than VND1.3trillion or 39.24% of the year’s plan. There were also additional 34 newly-established enterprises with total capital of more than VND106.4billion, bringing the total number of enterprises operating in the district to 390 capitalized at more than VND1.86trillion.

From now to year-end, the district’s People’s Committee will further conduct relevant agencies to well fulfill the Government’s Resolution No.01 on major measures to realize socio-economic plan and State estimate 2019. The district’s People’s Committee will also instruct functional agencies to regularly update weather information; outline plans, measures against natural disasters and give timely support for people in case of bad weather.

In addition, the district’s People’s Committee will continue instructing sectors and localities to take urgent measures against African hog chrolea; make efforts to well realize State budget collection-spending, compensation- site clearance under the plan; keep close watch on construction units to hasten the progress of construction of works…

It is known that the district’s total State budge collection over the past five years was more than VND108.6billion or 39% of the year’s plan. The district’s volume of basic construction works implemented reached more than VND102billion or 44% of the year’s plan with disbursement value at more than VND58.8billion or 25% of the year’s plan.
