Phu Gia mushrooms are Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd.'s products, considered Vietnam's agricultural specialties, towards affirming the brand and reach out to the world.

Phu Gia mushrooms affirm the brand in the world step by step.

Modern production line

Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd., says that Phu Gia mushrooms have been the company's main products for many years.

Based on Taiwan's 40 years of experience and technology in mushroom growing, Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has applied many modern production processes. The company's factory in Hung Son town, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, has an automatic production line.

The company uses sawdust as a substrate for growing mushrooms. The stages of annealing and mixing materials are made by machine to ensure uniformity and save time.

Phu Gia mushrooms are completely fertilized with organic fertilizers. The company only uses soft water mixed with rice bran, barley bran in the process of annealing.

Before growing, the company steamed mushroom bags in the oven to disinfect. Then, the company's experts will adjust the appropriate temperature, humidity, light, and air, creating the most favorable conditions for the mushrooms' growth.

Instead of manual work, Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. invested in a mushroom bagging machine with a capacity of 36 bags per minute. Machine-packed mushroom bags have a uniform size, making it easy for the company to monitor the growth process and estimate the output.

Deputy Director Tran Thi Thanh Hoa committed that the company does not use chemical drugs to grow and preserve. Mushroom production techniques are strictly guaranteed.

Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has invested in an automatic mushroom drying system to increase the output's quality. Computers control the whole process. The level of wind and temperature is evenly distributed to all mushroom trays. Therefore, Phu Gia mushrooms are completely dried from the inside out.

Towards export

Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is the first unit in Vietnam's mushroom industry to be granted the HACCP Certification. This is the gateway for the Company to increase business opportunities, demonstrating food safety commitments.

HACCP Certification is an approval system that recognizes that a food business has developed, documented, and implemented systems and procedures under HACCP and is a tool to help identify and control food safety hazards that may occur within the food business.

The company's farms are all certified Organic Farming and Organic Agriculture products following the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the EU's standards.

Due to quality assurance, food hygiene and safety, and production using modern technology, Phu Gia mushroom is well received by many markets worldwide. Currently, the company's mushroom products have been exported to Australia, UK, Japan, even Taiwan.

Some demanding foreign customers went to visit the company's raw material areas and production facilities. They stayed in Vietnam for many days to observe the production process. Finally, most of them are persuaded and accept the offer to buy the product.

Mr. Ly Nguyen Loi, Head of International Marketing Department, said that the company's technology is the key to helping Phu Gia mushroom affirm its brand and reach out to the world. Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. plans to put the product on Amazon e-commerce.

Compared with many other production industries, mushroom growing has a quick capital turnover and requires a less initial investment. This is why Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. believes that the market for Phu Gia mushroom is potential in the world.

In the coming time, the company will expand its production to raise the output's quantity. Currently, it is about 100 tonnes per year. In addition to exporting, the company also intends to raise its value in the domestic market.
