Parent chickens provided to Yen The breeding households

Parent chickens provided to Yen The breeding households (BGO) – The Center of Applied Research and Livestock Genetic Conservation has coordinated with Thuy Phuong Livestock Research Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to provide 3,500 parent chickens to 7 breeding households in Dong Son commune, Yen The district (Bac Giang province).

It was one of the activities under the agricultural encouragement model of “Building and expanding hi-quality breeding models of egg and meat chicken” launched in the district since 2016.

To date, 20 participating families have been supplied with 10,000 LV hens and Mia roosters (a Vietnamese breed of broiler), totally worth about 500 million VND (30,000 USD) in the communes of Canh Nau, Tam Tien and Dong Son.

Besides the free breeds, the households are provided with technical training, actual trip, a part of chickens’ food and vaccination.
