An international online trade conference on Vietnamese longan products is scheduled to take place on July 15 and 16, 2021 with the participation of 80 domestic and foreign enterprises, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

Hung Yen province, the largest longan hub in the North, is expected to harvest 50,000 – 55,000 tonnes of longan during this crop.

The event will be held by the MoIT's Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency in coordination with Vietnamese Trade Offices in Australia, ASEAN, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), the US, Japan, China and others.

The conference is expected to support enterprises in the supply and distribution of longan products while seeking business opportunities at home and abroad as Northern provinces are about to harvest their longan crops.

The event will be held on platforms including Zoom, Tencent and others with the participation of about 60-80 domestic and foreign enterprises which will promote longan products such as fresh longan, dried longan, longan pollen, longan flower honey, longan syrup, longan juice and others.

Enterprises are invited to register for the conference, as well as sending their information and product introductions to the organising board before 16:00 on July 7, 2021.

Hung Yen province, the largest longan hub in the North, is expected to harvest 50,000 - 55,000 tonnes of longan during this crop, up 15-20% compared to 2020.

The province is going to organise a series of trade promotion events to boost the consumption of the fruit.
