Luc Ngan to hold auction against prized quality fruits at 2019 fair for orange, pomelo

With an aim to foster propaganda, promotion and supply of high-quality fruits and signature farm and forestry products of the communes and town in the market, the Luc Ngan fair for orange, pomelo and signature products 2019 will take place within 3 days from 29 November to 1 December 2019. 

Luc Ngan yellowish orange is one of the signature fruits at the trade fair.

The trade fair will be organized at the district’s center square with the main activities of opening ceremony, art performance programme, “Vietnamese high-quality goods” programme, exhibition and sale of the signature products and fruits, fruit quality and booth decoration contests, bonsai exhibition and sale, entertainment area for kids, awarding and closing ceremony.

The “Vietnamese high-quality goods” programme will be available for 80 booths and scheduled from 28 November to 2 December 2019 in the eastern part of the center square. This event will display, promote and sell housewares, electronic products, clothes, industrial products and rural handicrafts. The products displayed and sold at the trade fair must be ensured origin and quality.

30 communes and towns in collaboration with the gardeners will be provided 80 booths, 01 to 02 booths for each to display and sell their signature products such as fruits, rice noodle, Kien Thanh liquor, honey and pollen.

Besides, the Organizing Board invites other districts, enterprises and cooperatives in the district to participate the trade fair. Each participant will be provided 01 or 02 booths.

Especially, the event includes the fruit-quality contest for sweet orange, yellowish orange, sweet pomelo and green skin pomelo. The prized fruits will come up for auction on the main stage at the opening ceremony. The money from the auction will be used to donate the “Fund for the Poor” of the district.

The corner of bonsai exhibition and sale will lure participation of about 20 gardeners and units.

The Luc Ngan fair for orange, pomelo and signature products is an annual event aimed at trade promotion of the local signature products and in response to the “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products” campaign.

It is a good opportunity for the local to link farmers with enterprises while attracting visitors to set a basis for tourism development, investment attraction in agriculture and establishing the value chain of some signature products and fruits of the district towards sustainable development.
