Luc Ngan: More than 26,000 fruit growing households granted with VietGAP and GlobalGAP

The Center of Agriculture Technical Service (CATS) in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province has coordinated with the Division of Agriculture and Rural Development in the district and competent agencies to grant the VietGAP and GlobalGAP certificates to more than 26,500 fruit growing households. 

The Hoang pomelo grown under VietGAP standard of Nguyen Huu Xuyen in Thuong Vu village, Quy Son commune is good looking with high quality.

Particularly, the CATS joined hand to grant certificates to nearly 23,000 families to grow lychee in more than 11,000 hectares in 30 communes and towns; nearly 3,800 households to develop the orange and pomelo in 512 hectares in 16 out of 30 communes (nearly 133 hectares of orange and 379 hectares of pomelo).

Since early this year, the CATS has coordinated to open 99 technical training courses to grow lychee under VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards to over 3,800 people; 92 technical training classes to develop the orange and pomelo under VietGAP standard to more than 3,500 people while printing and supplying 10,000 leaflets to instruct the farmers about the prevention measures of stalk borer on lychee.

Besides, the CATS in Luc Ngan district joined hand with the provincial Center of Agriculture Encouragement to implement the model of organic lychee cultivation in 2 hectares in Phuong Son commune.
