Long An: 4 projects enter semi-finals of National youth start-up contest 2019

According to Long An Provincial Youth Union, Long An has 4 out of 105 youth's projects selected for the semi-final of the Innovative Startup of Rural Youngsters Project Contest 2019.

These are the projects that won the 1st Long An Innovative Startup Idea Contest 2018, organized by the Provincial Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Four projects are Tam - Nong - Viet Clean Vegetables and Fruits of Mr. Dinh Bat Quy (My Loc commune, Can Giuoc district); Planting and supplying Dendro orchid of Mr. Nguyen Huu Truong (My Hanh Nam commune, Duc Hoa district); Cultivation area management on mobile device application of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan (Department of Information and Communications); Hafabo - Natural rejuvenation of Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Hoang (Long Trach commune, Can Duoc district).

The Innovative Startup of Rural Youngsters Project Contest 2019 is organized by the Rural Youth Board (Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union), the Center Of Business Studies And Assistance (BSA Center), Trung Nguyen Coffee Group and Vinamit Joint Stock Company.

After 4 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee has received 225 projects from 48 provinces and cities nationwide. In which, 46.66% of projects entered the semi-finals with 105 out of 225 projects; 40 of 48 provinces and cities have projects selected to be semi-finalists, reaching 82%.

The semi-final round is divided into 3 areas. To be more specific, the 1st semi-final will take place in Hanoi Capital on October 8 and 9, 2019 with 44 competing projects in the North Central Coast, Red River Delta, Northeast, Northwest. The 2nd semi-final will take place in Ben Tre province on October 16 and 17 with 36 projects in the Mekong Delta region. The 3rd semi-final will take place in Dak Lak province on 23 and 24 October 2019 with 25 projects in the Southeast, Central Highlands and South Central regions.

The final round is expected to take place on 23 and 24 November 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City.
