Harvest output is expected to reach 200-300 tons/day maintaining until August 2022.

Biomass corn has reached a high yield and high quality.

The Loc Troi Agricultural Service Company in the Southeast - Central Highlands (Loc Troi Group) recently has started harvesting biomass corn in Ia Puch commune, Chu Prong District (Gia Lai).

This is one of the biomass corn areas that Loc Troi has organized production associating with local farmers in Gia Lai Province (equivalent to 2,000 ha) under the model of "profit ensure" for farmers/cooperatives/groups in cooperation agreements of supply high-quality biomass corn between Loc Troi and NutiFood Group signed at the end of April 2021.

In the first week, the Loc Troi Agricultural Service Company conducted a trial harvest at the embankment area to check the efficiency of the cutting and picking machine system as well as the efficiency of transporting raw materials to the factory.

After the trial harvest period, Loc Troi will officially harvest to supply its partners with an expected output of 200-300 tons/day, continuously from now until August 2022.

During that time, biomass corn will be replanted in the rolling form with a growth time ranging from 75 to 85 days. The maximum interval break between each crop is 10 days, enough for the soil to recover.

Mr. Phung Vinh An, Director of Industrial Crops and Rice Section in the Southeast - Central Highlands of Loc Troi Group, said: “With the capacity to regulate production not depending on seasons, Loc Troi can grow all kinds of crops in different areas and times, throughout the year to serve its partners' orders. If the partners want to receive goods by the week, even by day, Loc Troi can also meet their demands due to its large area of tens of thousands of hectares.

Currently, all of Loc Troi's biomass corn products in Gia Lai have achieved a Moisture Index of 30-35%, reaching grade A corn standard, meeting the demand for using as fresh or silage sour animal feeds.

Proactively farming for orders on a large area, large output and guaranteed quality are three particularly important factors in the biomass corn planting model of Loc Troi in Gia Lai today.

This is an important step regarded as the foundation for building and completing the chain value of agricultural products, synchronously organizing from production to consumption, from agricultural products to industrial products, and gradually moving towards sustainable agricultural production and stable business.
