A contingent of representatives from Japan held trade talks with members of the Ha Nam Province People’s Committee on April 26 focused on promoting Japanese hi-tech agriculture in the surrounding region.

Japanese trade and cultural ties with Vietnam run deep, and I look forward to strengthening these important relationships, said a rep of the Japan External Trade Organization at the dialogue.

We appreciate the opportunity to build upon the relationship with customers in each country and further promote Vietnamese agriculture utilizing Japanese technology to ensure quality and profitability, the rep added.

Representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency also attended the conference saying they have scheduled several meetings with prominent government officials and key business leaders in Vietnam to explore opportunities for doing business in the ag sector.

In addition to expanding exports and trade, our international business development strategy is increasing foreign direct investment into Vietnam in hi tech agriculture, said JICA reps.

This expansion would create economic activity and good paying jobs throughout the province of Ha Nam and surrounding region.
