Israel’s most advanced technology in the field of agriculture and water will be introduced at an upcoming exhibition scheduled for Hanoi on October 27.

The event is part of the activities to be held by the Embassy of Israel in cooperation with Hanoi People’s committee to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Israel diplomatic relations (1993-2018).

The key event - “Exposition of futuristic Agro & Water Israeli technologies and cultural performance” - will take place at King Ly Thai To square on Saturday evening, featuring the latest Israeli agro-water technologies, as well as introducing both typical Israeli and Vietnamese cultural characteristics, targeting to promote the friendship and partnership between the two countries in general and between Hanoi and Israel in particular.

One of the highlights at the exposition is the 100m2 Vertical Rice Field, combining the deployment of soil-based technology for water conservation and plant nutrition that could facilitate city landscaping and boost crop growing capabilities within cities. The system facilitates growing almost any plant or crop and enables readily harvesting fresh produce.

Watergen, a cutting-edge and patented Israeli technology, will be also introduced at the event. It provides a low-cost, abundant, and renewable source of fresh and clean drinking water by extracting it directly from the atmosphere.

During the event, Hanoians will have the opportunity to enjoy Israeli music and folk dances and have a chance to join the Israeli music bands and Israeli dancers in their performances.

Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam, Nadav Eshcar, said that the Israeli people will celebrate their friendship with Vietnamese people by displaying unique and cutting edge technologies in the centre of Hanoi, as they represent the ties between the two nations for innovation, creativity, vision and cooperation in education, advanced technology, agriculture and science.
