Hoa Binh province develops 287 agricultural cooperatives
Hoa Binh province now counts total of 287 agricultural cooperatives, with 19 using high technologies in production and consumption, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Of the total, 81 have suspended operation or are newly-established.

The local cooperatives gather 5,131 members and generate jobs for more than 10,000 labourers.
Up to 94.6 percent of the cooperatives are operating in the farming sector, while the remainder specialise in husbandry, fishery, and others. Their average income is expected to reach 310 million VND at the end of 2020, with profits worth 177 million VND. Each regular labourer of the cooperatives earns some 38 million VND per year.
The cooperatives mainly provide agricultural services regarding materials, fertilisers, land preparation, irrigation, varieties and plant protection. They have helped to sell 60 percent of the products of their members. Certain cooperatives such as Ha Phong and Da Giang have carried out product processing and preservation.
The cooperatives have significantly contributed to promoting the household economic model and completing the goals of improving added values and income, and building new-style rural areas sustainably.
