HÀ NỘI — The Bangladeshi Embassy in Việt Nam has sent a diplomatic note to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Việt Nam announcing it invitation to both domestic and foreign tenders for its country’s rice import.

Accordingly, the Directorate of Food under Bangladesh’s Ministry of Food has invited tenders for the import of 50,000 tonnes of non-basmati parboiled rice -- an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to boost rice export to the market.

According to the announcement, imported rice will be shipped to Chittagong and Mongla ports within 40 days from when the deals are signed.

Rice can be imported from any country, except for Israel, and harvested from 2016 to present.

The deadline for submitting tender dossiers is 1pm on August 8, 2017 (Bangladesh time). The auction will open at 2:30pm the same day.
