Bac Giang builds over 20 net houses growing vegetables and flowers
To date, 21 models of net and membrane houses have been built with a total scale of 52,119 square meters across the districts and city in the northern province of Bac Giang for over one year realizing the vegetable and flower growing models under the provincial People’s Council’s policy to support the hi-tech agricultural production in the period of 2017 – 2020.

Of which, Bac Giang city develops 5 models; the districts of Luc Nam, Hiep Hoa, Lang Giang and Viet Yen build 3 models for each while 2 models are developed in Tan Yen and Yen Dung districts individually.
According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the hi-tech application helps mitigate the risk of bad weather impact, worm and diseases as well as increase the product’s output, quality, value and competitiveness in the market. Owners of the models have signed contract linking the production and consumption chain with the enterprises.
The stable and effective production models include melon growing model in the membrane house in 2,100 square meters of Dong Tam 3 Agriculture Cooperative (in Hiep Hoa district) to annually benefit 1.2 billion VND (52,600 USD) per hectare; flower cultivating model in the membrane house in 2,044 square meters in Phuong Nam Agriculture Service Cooperative (Bac Giang city) among others.
