According to the General Department of Customs, in the first half of December, the exportation of animal feed and raw materials reached over USD 81 million.

It can be concluded that from the beginning of 2021 to mid-December the export of animal feed and raw materials has surpassed the USD 1 billion mark for the first time, reaching USD 1.049 billion.

Vietnam exports the most animal feed to the Chinese market. In the first 11 months of this year, animal feed exports to this market reached USD 330.73 million, accounting for 34% of the country's total export turnover, an increase of 75.6% over the same period in 2020.

Exports of animal feed to the Cambodian market reached USD 137.41 million, up 22.7% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 14.1% of the total export turnover, ranked 2nd during these 11 months.

The third place belongs to the Indian market with USD 95.86 million, a sharp increase of 36% in comparison to the same period in 2020, accounting for 9.9% of Vietnam’s total export turnover.

Exports to the Philippines increased sharply by 165.3%, reaching USD 69.13 million. Exports to Thailand also experienced a growth rate of 78.2%, reaching USD 28.65 million.

In general, the exportation of animal feed to most markets increased sharply compared to the same period in 2020. Being able to surpass the USD 1 billion mark is proof that Vietnam’s animal feed exports hold great potential for further development in the upcoming years.
