Cao Van Hoan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province informed that the first 5-ton and 4-ton batches of lychee were exported to the US and Australia respectively while the promotion campaigns have been done in several markets of Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore…so as to introduce the fruits to the native customers.

Family of Trinh Van Chinh in Ha Thanh hamlet, Thanh Hai commune (Luc Ngan district) harvests the lychee.

There are many enterprises and exporters consuming huge quantity of lychee such as Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Company Limited, Phong Son Tiem Company Limited…

The best quality lychees which are primarily processed without stem are sold at 85,000 VND (3.65USD) per kilogram on average to export to these markets.

In this lychee season, many households have applied the organic cultivation, VietGAP and GlobalGAP procedures and minimised the usage of chemical fertilisers; thus resulting in remarkably improved quality.

The United State Department of Agriculture has provided 18 area codes to 394 lychee production households in 7 communes of Luc Ngan district with a total area of 217.89 hectares.

Accordingly, the products from these areas are eligible to export to the most demanding market in the world.
